Welcome to the INDENS website

One of the technological problems that faces society today is the environmentally friendly and economically favourable separation, capture and storage of greenhouse gases. This is the case of carbon dioxide and methane that will be critically important in the future European economy. It is crucial to find a new route to capture and store CO2 and CH4 produced during various industrial processes with different conditions.

Two main class of materials will be investigated during this project as potential nanoporous materials for gas storage : the aluminosilicate zeolites containing extra-framework cations, traditionally used as desiccants and water softeners and new zeotype materials based on a metal-substituted aluminophosphate framework known as MAPO's.
